In early December 2015, Coldplay released their seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. In 2016, Chris Martin and the boys headed out on tour in cities throughout South America and Mexico. With great success on the charts in the United Kingdom, Coldplay headed home in the summer of 2016 to perform four sold out shows at the iconic Wembley Stadium. Their tour was off to a magnificent start and fans eagerly awaited the release of more dates.
Two years after the release of A Head Full of Dreams, Coldplay are finally touring the album around the rest of the world, hitting Asia, Europe, and North America along the way. With the tour kicking off in Singapore at the end of March, the band will move throughout South and East Asia before heading to Europe in early June. Returning home to the U.K., the band will play shows in both Ireland and Wales. In early August, Coldplay will cross back over the pond to finish their tour at concert halls and mega stadiums in both Canada and America.
The album faced mixed reviews across the world, where it broke records in the United Kingdom including topping the UK Albums Chart. With the release of their first single, Adventure of a Lifetime, Coldplay topped the charts across the world and followed shortly with their second single, Hymn for the Weekend. Since writing the album right after their sixth studio album Ghost Stories, Coldplay have altered their style and made a return into alternative rock and pop with some more upbeat tunes and exciting lyrics. After creating a couple of albums that seemed suitable for darker times, the band have returned with their uplifting lyrics and tunes in A Head Full of Dreams.
Adventure of a Lifetime takes listeners on a journey through music and love, where audiences shuffle along to a catchy and edgy dance tune while jamming along to the inspirational lyrics. The upbeat lyrics use love as the adventure and the song gives off great vibes with its hypnotic dance beat. With the release of the latest album and the drastic change in the style of Coldplay, perhaps it is safe to hazard a guess that the band may move more of their music into the dance world, especially considering the reception of Adventure of a Lifetime.
