Back in late 2016, lead singer Chris Martin took to Twitter to mention that Coldplay were working on some new tunes and planned on releasing an album sometime in 2017 titled Kaleidoscope EP. Chris Martin has spoken about how the universe has inspired him and provided him with the means to keep creating music…and thankfully it seems like he isn’t going to stop anytime soon! After all, it was only in late 2015 that the British band released their last album, A Head Full of Dreams, which served up hit songs including Adventure of a Lifetime and Hymn for the Weekend.

Here is the tweet where Chris Martin tells the world the big news:

While we don’t know much about the album itself, we do know that it will be released on June 2, 2017. We also know the track list will be as follows:

1. All I Can Think About Is You
2. Something Just Like This
3. Miracles 2
4. A L I E NS
5. Hypnotised

Coldplay already released one song from the album titled Hypnotised which will appear on the Kaleidoscope EP, alongside their recently released song Something Just Like This, a fantastic collaboration with the DJ duo The Chainsmokers. Check out their new song Hynotised below! With a soothing tune and to the point lyrics, the song reminds us of the bands 2011 hit song Paradisewhich was equal parts inspiring and optimistic as it was defeating and pessimistic.
