It has been a while since the Queen of Neo-Soul music has released an album, however Mary J. Blige is set to release one in three weeks time! On April 28th, Mary J. Blige will release her newest album, Strength of a Woman.

The singer-songwriter has plenty of experience with song writing and this album seems like a bit of a glimpse into the long time stars’ heart and emotions. Battling troubles of her own in terms of love and marriage, Mary J. Blige has the added pressure of dealing with the media constantly. After releasing U + Me (Lesson Learned), the song details in some emotion the struggles of love and dependence, however in her usual neo-soul style, it seems to tell the perfect story with the appropriate tempo. Bringing plenty of life lessons to the album, Mary J. Blige seems to have reserved this album to reflect and portray some incredibly important feelings and themes like love, freedom, letting go, keeping strong, and moving on.
