Fall Out Boy are about to release a brand new album titled M A N I A. This will be the seventh studio album created and released from the American rock band. In recent days, Fall Out Boy released the first single from the album called “Young and Menace”. Different from all of their music in the past, Fall Out Boy have described the latest song as a clashing of personal and political messages and emotions. The band generally don’t share their political views, so the creation of Young and Menace is taking the punk rock scene by storm. What makes this song even more unique from the rock bands past music is that it has a dubstep beat to it. In the past, Fall Out Boy have always had a punk rock and popish sound to their music, so their new material seems like a big risk for the band, especially in terms of keeping their loyal fan base happy.
Over the years, Fall Out Boy have gained a large fan following by creating radio pleasing music. Lead singer Pete Wentz has described the new album as risky with plenty of political messages. Describing the latest release, Young and Menace, as chaotic and sounding like a 1990’s modem, the band realized that they needed to release the song even though it was harsh and extreme because, well, they reckoned the world needed to hear it during these chaotic times.
Fall Out Boy have talked about how they need to constantly change their music depending on the era. The punk rock band recognize that right now the world is going through a new type of awakening. Although Young and Menace is a wild track, Fall Out Boy have stated that the rest of the album is not as chaotic or pressing. The band are about half way finished creating the album and have stated that it will be released on September 15th, 2017. What’s most refreshing about Young and Menace is that they released the song only halfway into the finished album because there is no time better than the present. Fall Out Boy recognized that the song is so relevant now and perhaps this won’t be the case later.

Fall Out Boy will tour their M A N I A from late September to mid November. The band will start their tour at Rock in Rio in Brazil before kicking off their North American tour on October 20th. Pre-sale tickets start on Monday May 1, 2017 at 10am while general sales begin on May 5, 2017 at 10am.
