Jay Z is set to release a new studio album exclusively to the music service provider Tidal on June 30th. It has been four years since Jay Z released his last album, which was in 2013 and titled Magna Carta Holy Grail.
The new album from Jay Z will be titled 4:44. Fans and supporters of the American rapper started to see posters and images crop up throughout the New York City subway systems with mysterious 4:44 writings on them. It was later discovered that the posters were in part an upcoming Tidal film featuring Mahershala Ali, Danny Glover and Lupita Nyong’o. Furthermore, the film 4:44 featured a brand new Jay Z track titled “Adnis”.
No other information is available regarding the upcoming Jay Z release. We don’t yet know a track list or information regarding how long the album will remain exclusively on Tidal.
Jay Z will play shows and festivals across North America this summer. We hope that he will play a lot of his new material from 4:44.
