Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher will release his upcoming debut solo album on October 6th, 2017. The brand new studio album will be called “As You Were”. The British singer-songwriter released the album artwork a few days ago. The album is currently available for pre-order on Liam Gallagher’s website and is highly anticipated by ex-Oasis fans who have not heard much new material from the rockstar over the last couple of decades.
We don’t yet know the full track list for As You Were but we do know a few of the songs that will be on the album:
- Wall Of Glass
- Paper Crown
- Come Back To Me
- It Doesn’t Have To Be That Way
- For What It’s Worth
- Greedy Soul
- Chinatown
As You Were features tracks produced by incredible writers and producers including Greg Kurstin who produces music for Adele and Beck and Dan Grech-Marguerat who has helped to produce music for Radiohead, Mumford and Sons, and many other notable artists and bands.
Perhaps most interestingly, Liam’s rock star brother Noel Gallagher, who also played for the legendary British rock band Oasis, will release his next solo album a month later in November. Liam and Noel, who are known in the British media for having an incredibly rocky relationship, will battle against one another for both chart topping songs as well as record sales. Liam Gallagher has spoken about the rivalry between his brother Noel and has mentioned that he believes Noel’s album will be amazing, but of course not as amazing as his own.
In the past couple of months, Liam Gallagher has played two solo shows where he has played his first single “Wall of Glass”. The rockstar also played at Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester Benefit, where he sang two Oasis classics as well as his new single.
Liam Gallagher announced he will play nine shows across North America in November after his album is released. He will also play on August 5th at the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival held in Montreal, Quebec in Canada.
